At Shang Palace Istanbul, architect Andre Fu has curated a modern interpretation of the authentic Chinese dining experience – a restaurant that is conceived to provoke a sense of poetic journey that is infused with Fu’s signature modern Asian sensitivity.
Inspired by the sculptural quality of the historical Chinese courtyard chambers, Fu seeks to translate his poetic vision in 4 contemporary dining chambers – each chamber being designed with a sensuous approach with subtle changes of detailing to conjure a holistic lifestyle story, yet highlighted with unique features to create layers in its experience.
