Nadaman | shangri-la tokyo

Tokyo 2009
Nadaman is inspired by the ‘Essence of Nature’. The resulting effect is an uncompromisingly tranquil yet contemporary destination dining experience.
Whilst maintaining its clarity in spatial articulation, AFSO has opted to interpret nature in an abstracted manner – using layers of profiled full-height timber screens to carve the floor-plate into a series of interlinked zones. Be it the sushi dining bar or the private teppanyaki suite, each dining section is specific to its function and highlighted by a series of unique art installations commissioned specially for the project.
